Atrium Health's High Point Medical Center seeks a full-time phlebotomist for 3rd shift (Mon–Thu, 8:00 pm–6:30 am) in the Laboratory. The role emphasizes accurate blood collection, proper labeling, and safe handling of specimens.

The teammate will maintain inventory, enter orders in LIS, and assist with reporting while ensuring patient care and compliance with safety standards. CPR and ASCP/AMT/ASPT-type credentials are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years phlebotomy experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

• Ensures accurate and timely collection of blood specimens according to departmental practices.
• Ensures accurate identification and delivery of patient samples to the appropriate lab sections.
• Follows proper safety and identification procedures when dealing with patients and specimens.
• Demonstrates advanced phlebotomy knowledge and supports staff in daily routines.
• Maintains inventory and performs LIS data entry, report printing and filing.
• May perform waived testing and other duties as assigned.
