University of Iowa Health Care's Department of Pathology is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician I to perform phlebotomy, specimen labeling, and related tasks. This full-time, first-shift role runs Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM on campus with no weekends or holidays.

The department serves Iowa and the region within UI Health Care. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of phlebotomy training is desirable, and candidates with 6+ months in healthcare are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy draws.
• Performs computer data entry and clerical tasks.
• Orders, receives, and distributes supplies.
• Responds to basic phlebotomy inquiries.
• Administer select medications per protocol.
