Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform routine blood collections across all age groups, including neonates and infants. The role supports the Preanalytical Laboratory Services and Phlebotomy workflow, with responsibilities spanning specimen handling and age-appropriate patient care.
The successful candidate will have completed a phlebotomy program or have 3 months of experience, and must pass background screening required for care providers.
Phlebotomy
Under the supervision of Manager, Preanalytical Laboratory Services and Phlebotomy Supervisors, performs all duties of Phlebotomist responsibilities including routine blood collection on all age groups to include neonates and infants. In addition, demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to function in Specimen Processing and Receiving area of the Laboratory. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients’ in assigned area.
- Require graduate of a vocational program in phlebotomy or three (3) months experience.
HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
FDL: Valid Driver's License
