UCLA Health and David Geffen School of Medicine seeks a Phlebotomist to perform routine blood collection across all ages, including neonates, under supervision. The role includes working in Specimen Processing and Receiving and providing age-appropriate patient care.
Applicants should have a vocational phlebotomy program completion or at least 3 months of experience, with basic computer skills for patient ID systems. Formal education prerequisites are also required.
Phlebotomy
Under the supervision of Manager, Preanalytical Laboratory Services and Phlebotomy Supervisors, performs all duties of Phlebotomist responsibilities including routine blood collection on all age groups to include neonates and infants. In addition, demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to function in Specimen Processing and Receiving area of the Laboratory. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients’ in assigned area.
