Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Independence Family Health Center as a Phlebotomist Technician, CCSR. You will be part of the Medical Laboratory Team, performing blood collection, labeling specimens, and delivering samples across multiple locations.

This role offers day/evening rotation with 12:00pm-8:30pm or 3:00pm-11:30pm shifts and opportunities for professional development. You will help ease patient anxiety during blood draws, comply with safety protocols, and participate in education resources

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Formal phlebotomy certification preferred.
Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy program with clinical rotation/externship preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collection procedures, follow venipuncture procedures and maintain appropriate log sheets.
Verify order requests and identifying information prior to drawing blood or collecting the specimen/kit.
Label all specimens collected and deliver them to the appropriate processing area.
Perform specimen processing and send out tasks, including accessioning, centrifugation and packaging.
Pick up and deliver blood, other sample types and lab supplies.
Float to multiple locations.
