Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's Neurological Institute is seeking a dedicated caregiver/phlebotomist in Cleveland, OH. This role supports blood collection, specimen handling, and prompt transport to processing areas on a 1st shift schedule (Weekdays 3:00am–7:00am, Weekends 3:00am–11:30am).

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification; preferred: 1 year of experience. Safety PPE is provided as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical proficiency with standard procedures, techniques and common practices.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection procedures, venipuncture, and maintain log sheets.
• Verify order requests and identify information prior to drawing blood or collecting specimens.
• Label all specimens and deliver to the appropriate processing area.
• Perform specimen processing and send out tasks, including accessioning, centrifugation and packaging.
• Pick up and deliver blood, other samples and lab supplies.
