The ideal candidate has a state-approved phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting, and proficiency with MS Office. May float to other locations as needed, with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification (state-specific) is required.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and collect specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, and transport specimens as required.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Verify orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
