Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomist certification or diploma is required.
• BLS certification within three months of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy (venous and capillary) on patients of all ages with minimal discomfort.
• Label and prepare specimens for in-house testing and reference labs.
• Enter data and accession specimens for reference laboratories with compliant records.
• Perform waived testing per policies, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Report abnormal results to the ordering provider and verify verbal results from labs.
