Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections via venipuncture, prepare specimens for testing, and maintain patient logs. The role includes patient service, clerical duties, and travel to additional sites as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, national phlebotomy certification or eligibility, and preferred phlebotomy or healthcare experience with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• National Phlebotomy Certification or qualified to sit for phlebotomy certification exam preferred.
• Prior experience as a Phlebotomist OR graduation from a certified phlebotomy school with healthcare work experience preferred.
• Moderate knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts 7:00am–6:00pm with rotating Saturdays 8:00am–12:00pm.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture for all age groups.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide customer service to patients.
• Perform clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
