Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Marysville, WA is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy, EKGs, spirometry, and related duties in a busy clinic. You will maintain lab records, prepare specimens for referral, and assist Medical Lab Techs as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, phlebotomy training, and CPR/BLS certification. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable, with responsibilities across lab operations and patient care in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from an accredited phlebotomy training program required.
• X-ray training required.
• A minimum of one year experience in a hospital or clinic setting is desirable.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follows Universal Precautions during blood drawing, handling, and transport of body fluids.
• Observe OSHA and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and safety.
• greet patients and communicate clearly to keep them calm and comfortable.
• Identify patient with name and DOB, label tubes, and ensure correct collection timing.
• Collect blood samples via venipuncture and capillary methods as ordered.
• Verify orders in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and document results properly.
• Maintain documentation of temperature, QA/QC records, and equipment.
• Assist other departments and provide support as needed; may work overtime.
• Assist with EKG and Spirometry procedures when required.
• Coordinate specimen processing and communicate with providers and labs.
