Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Washington State seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P) to perform venipuncture, waived tests, CBCs, EKGs and spirometry, and assist in laboratory workflow. You will maintain supplies, ensure safety, and support cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Active MA-P certification from WA DOH required.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED. Able to provide documents during the interview.
• Foreign applicant requires US equivalency for HS Diploma.
• Pre-hire competency test required.
• Ability to communicate bilingually in English and Spanish desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follows Universal Precautions during blood drawing and handling biohazard materials.
• Adheres to OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
• Greet patients and communicate clearly to keep them calm and still.
• Identify patient with name and DOB, label tubes and collect samples with accuracy.
• Verify test orders in EHR and maintain quality control documentation.
