Job summary

Millennium Physician Group seeks a PRN Phlebotomist in Naples, FL to draw and collect blood, verify patient data, prepare specimens for testing, and ensure proper labeling and sample handling. The role requires phlebotomy (or MA) certification and 1+ year lab experience, with OSHA safety knowledge.

Responsibilities include data entry, specimen prep, and supporting daily lab activities in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or MA certification or phlebotomy program certificate.
• 1+ year of lab experience preferred.
• Knowledge of labeling/ID protocol and common lab tests.
• Understand OSHA safety rules and universal precautions.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture for patient samples.
• Verify patient records and enter data accurately.
• Prepare specimens with correct labeling and barcodes.
• Maintain sample integrity and ensure proper storage and handling.
• Provide shift coverage as PRN; no weekends or major holidays.

Job Description SummaryHours & Location:This position is PRN (per diem), working hours or shifts as needed!!No weekends or major holidays!Covering multiple site within Naples, FLThe Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing and collecting blood from patients and preparing the samples for testing. Verifies the patient's records, enters data into the system, and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. Processes specimens and demonstrates proper handling of samples. Instructs patients on Coumadin and performs limited waived testing. Maintains sample integrity by identification and labeling (2 identifiers).
