Job summary

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a Phlebotomist in Sebring, FL to draw and collect blood, verify patient records, and prepare specimens for testing. The role includes charting, data entry, and ensuring sample integrity with proper labeling and identifiers.

The ideal candidate has a phlebotomy certification or MA/phlebotomy program certificate and at least 1 year of lab experience. Responsibilities include safety compliance, sample prep, and supporting daily lab operations in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or M.A. certification or certificate from a phlebotomy program.
• 1+ years of experience in Lab preferred.
• Understand labeling/ID protocol and universal precautions.
• Know test requirements and how to search Quest/LabCorp for esoteric tests.

Responsibilities

• Performs painless venipuncture and capillary puncture for the Coumadin clinic.
• Identifies patient following protocol and labels samples with correct bar code.
• Reconciles outstanding sample reports at day’s end and maintains safety practices.
• Support day-to-day activities and assist in maintaining a clean work area.

Job Description SummaryHours & Location:Full Time: Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm & Friday 7am-12pm4221 Sun N Lake Blvd, Sebring, FLThe Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing and collecting blood from patients and preparing the samples for testing. Verifies the patient's records, enters data into the system, and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. Processes specimens and demonstrates proper handling of samples. Instructs patients on Coumadin and performs limited waived testing. Maintains sample integrity by identification and labeling (2 identifiers).
