The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and related tasks in a variety of settings, ensuring a high level of patient care and safety. As a per diem position, this role offers flexible scheduling, allowing the technician to support the medical center during peak times, holidays, or when additional staffing is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures on patients of all ages.
• Ensure the correct labeling and handling of blood specimens for testing, maintaining proper documentation.
• Assist with patient identification, ensuring a safe and accurate collection process.
• Adhere to infection control procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure timely and accurate specimen collection.
• Provide compassionate and professional care to patients during the blood draw process.
• Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and alleviating concerns.
• Support the medical center’s overall mission and goals for quality care and patient safety.
