This position offers flexible scheduling to support peak times, holidays, or staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures on patients of all ages.
  2. Ensure proper labeling, handling, and documentation of blood specimens.
  3. Assist with patient identification to ensure safe and accurate collection.
  4. Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare staff for timely and accurate specimen collection.
  6. Provide compassionate care and explain procedures to patients.
  7. Communicate effectively to alleviate patient concerns.
  8. Support the hospital’s mission for quality care and safety.
Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire, with ongoing maintenance.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
