Job summary

The role requires HS diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification (CPTI or CPT II) with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• CPTI-certified Phlebotomy Technician I or CPT II-Certified Phlebotomy Technician II required.
• 1 year recent relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of standard laboratory principles and specimen handling.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens from patients.
• Receive, sort, and accessions specimens.
• Assist with patient registration and test order entry related tasks.
• Process and distribute reports and manage specimen storage as needed.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and safe work area and escalate priority tasks.
• Operate basic pre-analytic laboratory equipment and adhere to regulations.
