Job summary

Sutter Health in the Palo Alto area is seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician Lab Assistant II. Collects blood specimens and handles processing in a busy lab environment, while supporting pre-analytic and analytic workflows.

You will interact with patients of diverse backgrounds, maintain accurate records, and follow privacy and safety standards under state and federal regulations. Part-time, day/evening shifts, 24 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED prior to start date.
• CPTI or CPT II certification prior to start date.
• Knowledge of privacy and safety regulations in the lab.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens and process samples for testing.
• Receive, sort, accession and assign specimens to workflows.
• Document work, maintain clean and safe work area, and escalate priority tasks.
• Operate basic pre-analytic lab equipment and ensure regulatory compliance.
