Garden City Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomy Technician II to join our team in Garden City, MI. The role involves performing skin punctures and venipunctures on patients of all ages, data entry, and specimen processing across multiple laboratory areas.

Must maintain professional communication with patients and staff. Requirements include a High School Diploma and BLS certification within 45 days of hire; 2 years of clinical lab experience is preferred.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience, preferred.

Mansioni

• Perform skin puncture or venipuncture on patients of all ages to obtain blood specimens.
• Enter data, file, answer calls, and perform clerical duties.
• Demonstrate proper phlebotomy technique and use of equipment.
• Process specimens for microbiology, immunology, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry and blood bank.
• May assist with pickup of samples, sorting for analysis, and restocking supplies.
