Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform specimen collection and receipt into the department across multiple facility types including hospital, PSC, IOP, and MDS in Casper, Wyoming.

The role requires accurate patient identification, proper specimen handling, and adherence to regulatory and company policies. Travel between locations and weekend/overtime coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or equivalent may be required by state regulation.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience; phlebotomy certification required by state regulation.
• Valid state driver’s license and eligibility for company auto insurance.
• Flexibility to travel to multiple locations and cover mobile/in-office phlebotomy sites; may include weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Specimen collection and receipt into the department.
• Enter and verify patient demographics, tests requested, and related data for processing and billing.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute to appropriate areas.
• Maintain accuracy, productivity, and quality; follow department procedures and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Communicate professionally with internal/external customers and participate in team tasks.
