Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certification in phlebotomy is preferred through an approved certification organization (ASCP, National Phlebotomy Association, American Medical Technologist, National Performance Specialist, National Healthcareer Association).
• Previous laboratory experience as a Lab Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service and skilled specimen collections.
• Performs blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Ensures doctors' orders are executed correctly and handles special specimen handling for esoteric testing.
• Handles and processes of legal specimens in a very fast-paced environment.
