Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Phlebotomy Tech for our Laboratory Draw Centers on a PRN day shift. This role leverages your phlebotomy and lab tech experience to support patient care and maintain high quality specimen collection.

You will collect blood samples, correctly identify patients, transport specimens, perform related clerical and computer tasks, and use laboratory information systems to enter data and communicate test requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples, correctly identify patients, transport specimens, and perform related clerical and computer functions.
• Register, label, process, and distribute specimens for laboratory testing; use computer systems and enter data.
