Job summary

Saint Alphonsus is seeking a Phlebotomist/Ambulatory Care Aide for the Overland Clinic location in Boise. This full-time, day-shift role involves phlebotomy, patient rooming, vitals, EKGs, lab operations, and room sanitation.

The ideal candidate brings phlebotomy or lab tech experience and a commitment to patient care. You will perform blood draws, ensure correct patient identification, manage lab orders and clerical tasks, and support clinical staff while maintaining data accuracy and specimen

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples, correctly identify patients, transport specimens and perform related clerical and computer tasks.
• Register, order, collect, label, process and distribute specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages; manage related clerical work.
• Utilize relevant computer programs and perform data entry; act as central communications point for laboratory requests and specimen quality.
