Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Preferred: 6 months phlebotomy experience OR 1 year related experience.

Responsibilities

• The Phlebotomy Support Technician I collects and processes blood and other specimens as directed.
• Verifies patient ID, collects specimens in proper tubes, and uses venipuncture or capillary techniques.
• Accurately labels specimens to ensure precise patient results and processes specimens for testing.
• Accessions, updates information and makes corrections to orders as needed.
