Job summary

Jackson Hospital's Laboratory department is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy procedures, ensure correct patient identification, and accurately document sample collection and transport. You will work under supervision, support RN staff, and participate in safety and infection control protocols.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completed a phlebotomy program, and 1–2 years of relevant experience; national certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and completion of a phlebotomy training program.
• National Certification as a Phlebotomist preferred but not required.
• 1-2 years phlebotomy experience in related work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine blood collection via venipuncture with patient identification.
• Document and report patient data related to phlebotomy accurately.
• Maintain inventory and restock supplies; keep carts organized.
• Coordinate with nursing and lab staff; participate in mandatory education.
