Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Decatur, GA. The role involves performing blood collections, specimen handling, and delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include data entry, billing assistance, and potential travel to additional sites. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification, and 1+ year of phlebotomy experience; 3+ years preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or training within an accredited program.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly with patients.
• Ability to perform venipuncture and capillary collections across age groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
