Job summary

Weatherford College is seeking adjunct faculty to assist with health science programs, including phlebotomy instruction and related administrative duties under the Program Director.

Ideal candidates will have NAACLS-certified phlebotomy training and 100 hours of clinical experience, with a range of degrees from Associate to Doctorate as applicable. This on‑campus role emphasizes teaching across modalities and mentoring students.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy program includes didactic, lab and clinical training with NAACLS certification.
• Minimum 100 hours of clinical experience with NAACLS-certified phlebotomist.
• Education: Associate degree 2–5 years, Bachelor’s 6–10 years, Master’s 11–15 years, Doctorate 16+ years in field.

• Professional and ethical standards in time management and use of College resources.

Responsibilities

• Assist with skills training and lab duties assigned by the Program Director.
• Teach courses in the approved discipline and facilitate learning across modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, online/Zoom, dual credit).
• Provide timely feedback to students, respond to communications, and submit final grades promptly.
• Maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.
• Attend adjunct faculty meetings and assess courses at departmental and institutional levels.
• Complete any required training and related duties as assigned.

Education

Phlebotomy certification NAACLS, two-part program (didactic & lab)

Associate degree and/or 2–5 years experience in field

Bachelor’s degree and/or 6–10 years experience in field

Master’s degree and/or 11–15 years experience in field

Doctorate degree and/or 16+ years experience in field
