Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (e.g., CPT, PBT) or licensed healthcare professional with phlebotomy experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical venipuncture and specimen collection experience.
• Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
• Instructor training or education methodology coursework encouraged.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to student success in healthcare education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with national phlebotomy certification standards.
• Teach classroom and laboratory components, including venipuncture and specimen handling.
• Utilize Canvas LMS to support in-person, online, and hybrid instruction.
• Assess student performance via exams, skills check-offs, and competency evaluations.
• Maintain attendance, grades, and progress records.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for phlebotomy education.
• Collaborate with faculty to support student learning and program improvement.
• Provide mentorship and career readiness guidance to students.
• Participate in professional development and maintain current certifications.
