Job summary

Denmark Technical College seeks a Phlebotomy Program Instructor under the supervision of the Dean of Nursing to deliver quality instruction and coordinate the Phlebotomy Program. The role includes developing course materials, testing instruments aligned with objectives, and planning instructional activities.

The instructor will maintain course documentation, select textbooks, manage lab resources, and supervise classrooms. Evening/weekend sessions may be required on campus and sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, a valid professional healthcare license or national phlebotomy certification, and 3 to 5 years of hands-on clinical experience.
• Knowledge of higher education principles and teaching methodologies; knowledge of Phlebotomy; ability to supervise and coordinate classroom/instructional activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality instruction and coordinate the Phlebotomy Program.
• Provide syllabus, grading/attendance policy, and timely information; conduct student evaluations.
• Develop and maintain course documentation; select textbooks; manage materials and schedule labs.
• Maintain office hours, advise students, and refer to appropriate services as needed.
• Assist with recruitment, student placement, and college/community service activities.
• Submit reports timely and maintain records; enforce classroom discipline when needed.
