Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician by a nationally recognized organization (e.g. AMT, ASPT, NCCT) OR Current Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist (e.g. ASCP, AMT).
• 2 years experience as a certified phlebotomy technician or medical laboratory technician.
• Associate’s degree or higher in a Health Technology program or related field from a regionally accredited college or institution.
• Teaching experience at a secondary or postsecondary level.
• 3 years experience as a certified phlebotomy technician or medical laboratory technician.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students in classroom settings and develop syllabi and lesson plans.
• Develop program goals and objectives and teach all phases of the curriculum.
• Employ appropriate teaching techniques, testing and grading procedures, and maintain grade books and records.
• Communicate effectively, maintain inventory and complete reports and invoices promptly.
• Potentially serve as lead instructor and mentor adjunct faculty within the discipline.

Education
