Phlebotomist II - 1st Shift
Duration: 3+ Months.
Shift/Time Zone: 1st shift 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, every other Saturday

Job Description
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) interacts directly with patients, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
- Creates a trusting environment by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws safely, accurately, and skillfully.
- Demonstrates leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- Assignments may vary between doctor's offices, patient service centers, or as needed by the business.
- Performs daily activities accurately and timely under the supervision of the area manager.
- Maintains a safe, professional environment and adheres to all safety policies.
- Performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing in accordance with established procedures.
- Verifies patient demographic information, including initials and signatures post-venipuncture, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Promotes a positive image and demonstrates organizational commitment to patients, clients, and colleagues.

- Excellent phlebotomy skills across all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime, based on staffing needs.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures, including dress code, safety, and company guiding principles.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established protocols.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Exceptional customer focus, communication skills, adaptability to change, and business knowledge.
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Required Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
- Minimum of three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- At least two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Experience in customer service, retail, or service industries is advantageous. Keyboard/data entry skills are also preferred.
