Title: Phlebotomist II - 1st Shift

Location: Denville, New Jersey, United States, 07834

Duration: 3+ months

Shift: 1st shift 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Description:

• The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) interacts directly with patients, representing our company and providing essential health services.
• Draws high-quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing following established protocols.
• Builds trust with patients by explaining procedures and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately.
• Exhibits leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy. Assignments may vary between doctor’s offices and patient service centers.
• Performs daily activities accurately under supervision, maintaining a safe and professional environment.
• Handles both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing in accordance with procedures.
• Verifies patient demographic information and labels specimens in the presence of patients to ensure accuracy.
• Maintains proper records and documentation.
• Promotes a positive image and demonstrates organizational commitment to patients, clients, and colleagues.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
• Adherence to policies, dress code, safety, and excellence principles.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with short notice.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• At least two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
• Keyboard and data entry skills.
