Description/Comment: The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, handling blood sample collection and preparation for lab testing while ensuring a trustworthy and professional environment. The role involves demonstrating leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy. Applicants may be assigned to various locations based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily activities accurately and timely under supervision.
2. Maintain a safe, professional environment.
3. Conduct forensic and clinical specimen collection following established procedures.
4. Verify patient demographic information and label accuracy post-venipuncture.
5. Maintain records and documentation diligently.
6. Promote a positive image and demonstrate organizational commitment.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to produce error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Independent work capability with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Adherence to policies, dress code, safety, and principles.
• Decision-making skills based on procedures and good judgment.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record if applicable.
• Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations with short notice.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Training Locations: May vary based on trainer availability.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.

Work Experience:

• Minimum three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Preferred: 2+ years in a Patient Service Center environment.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
