A leading company is seeking a Phlebotomist II to represent the organization to patients, ensuring quality blood draws and specimen handling. The role requires excellent phlebotomy skills, customer focus, and the ability to work independently. Flexibility for various shifts and locations is essential.
Duration: 3 months
Location: Mount Pleasant, Iowa, United States, 52641
Shift: 7:30a-4:30p with 1 hour lunch M-F; 8:30a-5:30p M, T, Th, F with 1 hour lunch; 8:30a-12:30p Saturday. The two employees will rotate weeks to cover Saturdays.
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients, whether as part of their routine health visits or for critical health decisions. The PSR II is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing following established procedures. The role involves direct patient contact, creating an atmosphere of trust, explaining procedures, and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately. The PSR II demonstrates leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy. Depending on the need, assignments may be at a doctor's office, a patient service center, or as directed by business requirements. Under supervision, perform daily activities accurately and timely, maintain a safe environment, and handle specimen collection and processing with confidence, following protocols. Verify patient demographic information, document records, and promote a positive image to patients and staff.
