Phlebotomist
Location: Dallas, TX, 75219
Shift: Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm Rotational Saturdays
Job Description:
- The Phlebotomist/Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients who come in, either as part of their routine health care or for important health decisions.
- The PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.
- The PSR II has direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explaining procedures, and drawing blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately.
- The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center, or as needed based on business requirements.
- Under the supervision of the area manager, performs daily activities accurately and punctually, maintaining a safe and professional environment.
- Performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established protocols.
- Verifies patient demographic information and initials, including patient signature post-venipuncture, to ensure proper labeling and identification.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation.
- Promotes a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures, including dress code, safety, and company principles.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established protocols.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with short notice.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a high-volume setting.
- Strong customer service orientation, open communication, adaptability, and knowledge of our business.
- Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Preferably, a minimum of two years in a Patient Service Center environment.
- Experience in customer service within retail or service sectors preferred.
- Keyboard and data entry skills required.
