Description/Comment: The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of the company to patients, whether for routine health visits or critical health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, and follows established procedures. This role involves direct patient contact, fostering trust and confidence by explaining procedures and drawing blood skillfully, safely, and accurately. The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, focuses on process excellence, and maintains confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
2. Maintain a safe and professional environment.
3. Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens confidently, following established practices.
4. Maintain required records and documentation.
5. Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months of experience required; over 1 year preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
