Description/Comment: The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of the company to patients, assisting with health routines and providing insights into health decisions. The PSR I draws blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, and maintains a safe, professional environment. They build trust with patients by explaining procedures and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately. The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, focuses on process excellence, and upholds confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
2. Maintain a safe and professional environment.
3. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices.
4. Maintain required records and documentation.
5. Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Minimum of 6 months of experience; 1+ years preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
