Job Title: Patient Services Representative I

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, whether they are visiting as part of their routine health care or seeking insights into critical health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, adhering to established practices and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Establishing trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately.
2. Demonstrating leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
3. Performing daily activities accurately and timely under the supervision of the area supervisor.
4. Maintaining a safe and professional environment.
5. Handling forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties confidently.
6. Maintaining required records and documentation.
7. Promoting a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Job Requirements:

1. Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
4. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
3. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
4. Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience; over 1 year preferred.
5. Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
6. Keyboard/data entry skills required.
