Shift/Time Zone: Two shifts available - 7am-3pm w/rotating Saturdays 7a-12p or 8am-4pm w/rotating Saturdays 7a-12p
Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, either as part of their routine health care or for important health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.
- The PSR I has direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence. They explain procedures and draw blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
- The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Under the supervision of the area manager, perform daily activities accurately and timely.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties confidently, following established practices and procedures.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months experience required.
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience is essential.
Additional Job Details:
- Candidate must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite (personal vehicle preferred; bus, Uber, or rideshare may not be reliable).
- Must be available to work as scheduled, punctual, and stay for the entire shift.
- Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may lead to termination.
- Candidates should reside within a 20-25 minute commute to ensure timely travel to the site.
