Shift: Two shifts available:
- 6am-2pm with rotating Saturdays 7am-12pm (2 positions)
- 7am-3pm with rotating Saturdays 7am-12pm (1 position)
Rotational Saturdays at another site.
Description
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, both during routine health visits and for health decisions.
- The PSR I draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing, following established procedures.
- The PSR I maintains direct contact with patients, creating trust and confidence, explaining procedures, and drawing blood skillfully, safely, and accurately. Demonstrates leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.
- Under supervision, performs daily activities accurately and timely.
- Maintains a safe and professional environment.
- Performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices.
- Maintains records and documentation.
- Promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements
- Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible and available for staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Required Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 6 months experience required.
- One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard data entry experience essential.
