Job summary

Thisiscny in Syracuse seeks a Supervisor of Phlebotomy to oversee multiple phlebotomy locations and provide back-up coverage for the Specimen Receiving Supervisor. The role involves interviews, policy implementation, performance evaluations, and staff training.

The candidate will monitor staff issues, answer client questions about test orders and registrations, and may perform Phlebotomy, Receiving and Processing duties. Travel to service centers may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or CLT license with NYSED by appointment.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or CLT license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of all phlebotomy locations.
• Serve as back-up for the Specimen Receiving Supervisor.
• Lead interviews, hiring, and performance evaluations; train staff.
• Counsel on personnel issues and monitor attendance and behavior.
• Answer queries from outside clients regarding test orders and registrations.
• Perform Phlebotomy, Receiving and Processing duties as needed.
• Visit patient service centers to assess needs and concerns.
