Job summary

Labcorp in Birmingham, AL seeks a Phlebotomy Supervisor to lead a hospital-based team of phlebotomists, ensuring efficient patient flow, high-quality specimen collection, and accurate information logging.

You will manage scheduling, payroll, productivity, and performance reviews, partner with HR on employee relations, and hire/train staff to fill open positions while delivering excellent service to patients and client offices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as a phlebotomist.
• 2+ years supervising or leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of phlebotomists in a hospital setting.
• Manage patient flow, wait times, and inventory levels and information logs.
• Monitor monthly productivity and report deviations as necessary.
• Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful thinking.
• Perform payroll, monthly schedules and performance appraisals.
• Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actions.
• Hire and train phlebotomists to fill open positions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, client staff, sales, logistics and management.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clients.
