Job summary

Patient First is seeking staff to support patient care operations at our Virginia centers. The role involves triaging patients, obtaining vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations by Physicians and Nurses.

You will also handle labs, imaging orders, and supply requests, while maintaining a clean, organized treatment area. The position requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma, and at least one year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (possibly 4-7 hours).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills.
• Willingness to work at any center due to staffing emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Locating patients, obtaining vital signs, triaging, and preparing for exams.
• Electronically ordering lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed.
• Notifying Nurse/Physician when patient is ready and communicating needs.
• Assisting Nurses and Physicians with patient care.
• Maintaining cleanliness and restocking treatment rooms and laundry.
• Reporting to Charge Nurse before leaving shift.
• Using the electronic medical record system.
• Attending staff meetings and following policies and procedures.
