Job summary

Patient First in Virginia is seeking a Medical Assistant (Phlebotomist) to join a fast-paced clinic environment. The role includes phlebotomy, vital signs, triage support, EMR use, sample collection, and collaboration with nurses and physicians to ensure efficient patient care.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of clinical experience, is able to lift up to 50 pounds, and can handle multiple tasks while maintaining a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum typing experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Locating patients and obtaining accurate vital signs.
• Phlebotomy procedures and lab duties as assigned.
• Sterilizing and setting up instruments; restocking treatment rooms as needed.
• Assisting Nurses and Physicians with patient care and treatment.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the treatment area and OSHA compliance.
• Operating and maintaining medical and office equipment as trained.
