Job summary

OhioHealth seeks a Phlebotomy Technician to perform phlebotomy and related laboratory tasks at our Mansfield campus. The role emphasizes customer service, accurate specimen handling, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements in a high-reliability health system.

You will interact with clinicians, patients and families, and support LIS/e-Source tasks as needed. The position requires a High School diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, with 6 months to 1 year of phlebotomy

Qualifications

High School or GED is required.
Driver’s license (DMV) required.
6 months–1 year phlebotomy/ specimen processing experience preferred.
Active driver’s license and personal auto insurance required for facility travel.

Responsibilities

Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing per campus needs.
Maintain safety and infection control practices; provide customer service to clinicians and clients.
Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients and families; utilize service recovery as needed.
Handle associated computer tasks (LIS, e-Source).
Train new employees and students.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (NPSG, CAP, OSHA, JCAHO, CMS, OSH).
Maintain competencies and ongoing education as required (ACE).
