The Portland Clinic is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our Laboratory team. The position will float between Beaverton and Tigard locations and requires the ability to collect and process patient samples, perform limited testing, and maintain quality control documentation.

Hours are 40hrs/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. CPR certification and phlebotomy experience or equivalent are required. A $1,000 signing bonus is offered after 90 days of employment.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• One year phlebotomy experience or completion of accredited training, or appropriate certification.

Mansioni

• Obtain and process patient samples while minimizing discomfort.
• Interface orders from Epic to LIS (Orchard).
• Collect blood from patients of all ages using standard devices.
• Provide instructions for sample collection (urine, sputum, stool).
• Prepare and route samples to the correct lab for testing.
• Perform and record quality control testing.
• Maintain lab records and inventory.
• Maintain professional conduct and teamwork.
