Job summary

Millennium Physician Group in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Laboratory Phlebotomist to perform routine and moderately complex blood collection across patient settings. Full-time, Monday–Friday 7am–4pm at 13691 Metro Pkwy, Fort Myers.

You will verify patient identity, label specimens, and ensure sample integrity while maintaining patient comfort. Responsibilities include painless venipuncture, proper labeling, data entry, safety procedures, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or MA certification or certificate from a phlebotomy program.
• 1+ years of experience in Lab.
• Understand labeling/ID protocol and common lab tests.

Responsibilities

• Performs painless venipuncture and capillary puncture for the Coumadin clinic.
• Identifies patient following protocol.
• Prepares samples with correct label and barcode and inspects vials.
• Reconciles outstanding sample reports at day’s end.
• Observe safety procedures and sample prep.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
