Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with venipuncture and capillary collection preferred.
• Familiarity with LIS/EMR input desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and capillary draws.
• Performs arterial blood collection.
• Gree ts patients and assists by providing information.
• Orders tests in LIS and ensures correct routing of reports.
• Maintains lab files and handles timed and STAT orders from ER and inpatient units.
• Registers outpatients for tests and communicates with providers.
