Job summary

OhioHealth Corporation seeks a Phlebotomy Technician for the Core Lab to perform phlebotomy and related tasks, supporting diverse patients and clinicians. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and effective communication as part of daily laboratory operations.

The position involves contact with patients and families, and requires adherence to lab policies, infection control, and quality standards. Day shifts and a 16-hour weekly schedule are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months to 1 year experience in phlebotomy and/or specimen processing.
• Active driver's license and ability to carry personal auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• 70% Phlebotomy and/or specimen processing depending on job location. Adherence to Safety and Infection Control practices.
• 15% Associated computer related tasks (i.e. LIS, e-Source)
• 5% Training new employees and students
• 5% Adherence to regulatory compliance including National Patient Safety Goals, CAP, OSHA, JCAHO, CMS, OSH and Laboratory Policies and Procedures.
• 5% Maintaining competencies, mandatory required education (ACE).
