Job summary

Emanate Health in California seeks a Phlebotomy Technician to join the Laboratory Services team. Under supervision of the Director/Asst.

Director, you will perform venipunctures on adults and pediatrics and handle micro collections on infants, while assisting with data entry and specimen processing. You should have a High school diploma or equivalent, a California CPT certificate, and BLS, with 1–2 years of hospital lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and medical/laboratory terminology.
• Two year acute care hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• 1–2 years experience assisting in performing laboratory assays preferred.
• Ability to operate computer input terminal.
• Fluent English communication.
• Typing and word processing skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Current California CPT certificate.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures on adults and pediatrics and micro collections on infants.
• Participates in data entry, specimen processing and communicates with clients to help resolve specimen concerns as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
