Job summary

Emanate Health is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to perform venipunctures for adults and children, and micro collections for infants. You will be involved in data entry and specimen processing while addressing client questions about specimens.

The role requires proficient phlebotomy skills, strong English communication, and dedication to providing excellent patient care within a hospital laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and medical terminology.
• Two year acute care hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• 1–2 years experience assisting in performing laboratory assays.
• Ability to operate computer input terminal; typing and word processing skills.
• Phlebotomy techniques including blood cultures, finger and heel sticks.
• Fluent English communication; strong customer service.
• Current California CPT certificate; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures on adults and pediatrics and micro collections on infants.
• Participates in data entry, specimen processing and communicates with clients to resolve specimen concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
